The American Heart Association (AHA) suggests participation in at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity at least 5 days per week and moderate to high intensity muscle strengthening activity at least 2 or more days per week.
Tips to get you going…
1. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
2. Park further away from your destination.
3. Walk your dog instead of letting him/her out in the backyard.
4. Go on a walking meeting or rent a capital bikeshare and explore DC!
